Ashley Eriksen’s story is a quintessential Los Angeles narrative, rooted in a multicultural blend of Chinese, Swedish, and Japanese-American heritage that shaped her view of storytelling as a universal language.

From a professional acting career to her transition into creative operations, Ashley has built a legacy of bridging the gap between artistic expression and the operational systems that allow talent to truly flourish.

Behind the Scenes with Ashley

Early Years in the City

Growing up in a household that honored diverse traditions, Ashley found her grounding in the arts. It was within the sanctuary of local children’s theatre, literature, and film sets where she first began to piece together her own sense of belonging. While navigating a complex upbringing, the discipline of rehearsal and the optimism of local stage productions—like Annie—offered a blueprint for a life of purpose.

The Actor's Foundation

Acting was never just a hobby; it was Ashley’s first career. Stepping into professional work as a child, she built a lifetime of experience that now spans film, television, and theatre. This groundwork as a SAG-AFTRA performer remains the heartbeat of her work, informing her writing and producing by providing an intimate understanding of the vulnerability and technical precision required to bring a story to life.

Educator and Caretaker

Long before she was managing theater companies, Ashley was honing her instincts for mentorship at home. Helping care for and homeschool her four younger siblings, she developed a natural capacity for guidance and educational development. This season of her life served as an informal apprenticeship in leadership, teaching her how to identify potential in others and foster an environment where curiosity could thrive.

Building a Creative Community

The bridge between performance and founding her own company was a transformative four-year chapter spent building a youth performing arts program. Ashley didn't just hold a title; she shaped the very culture of the academy. From crafting original curricula and directing large-scale productions to managing daily operations and mentoring hundreds of students, she became a vital link between students, families, and instructors.

This period was about creating a sustainable ecosystem for the arts within the community. Whether collaborating with technology education partners or community organizations, Ashley learned that the most impactful work happens behind the scenes. Her ability to balance the logistics of production with the nuances of artistic mentorship became the catalyst for her next major venture: the birth of Pear Sky.

The Rise of Pear Sky

Pear Sky represents the convergence of Ashley’s work in film, theatre, and education. It exists as a natural progression of her career, turning a lifetime of creative expertise into a platform for modern storytelling.

Civic Responsibility

Her public service, notably as Miss Los Angeles Chinatown First Princess, reflects a commitment to cultural diplomacy. Through media and youth outreach, she integrates her entertainment background with a life of advocacy.

The Present Vision

Today, Ashley continues to write, produce, and direct across mediums. Her mission is to build immersive experiences where others find the tools to explore their own curiosity and build their own creative futures.
