Growing up as the oldest of five siblings in the Gong-Koiso family, I was raised in a world where performance wasn't just a pursuit, but a shared heritage. Our household was a vibrant symphony of culture and discipline, where the roots of my values and work ethic were firmly planted. Watching my brothers and sisters find their voices through dance, acting, and martial arts taught me that artistry is a lifelong commitment to excellence and empathy.
This familial foundation has profoundly shaped my approach to the performing arts. It instilled in me a deep passion for storytelling that honors our history while pushing the boundaries of creativity. Every production and project I undertake is a reflection of the lessons learned at home: that kindness is the core of collaboration, and that the arts have an unparalleled power to bridge cultures and bring people together in meaningful, transformative ways.

Helping care for my four younger siblings as a teenager profoundly shaped my values, leadership, and purpose. In this on-stage interview and evening gown presentation, I share how those experiences influenced my answer on family values during the Miss Los Angeles Chinatown pageant—a moment that reflected the journey that ultimately led me to being crowned Miss Los Angeles Chinatown 2025.
