Ashley Mei is Chinese and Japanese born in Beverly Hills. She grew up in both LA's Fairfax District and the San Fernando Valley.

Ashley has been acting since age 6. Her first onscreen role was playing a youth assassin for Bennett Jones' festival darling, "I am a Knife with Legs". Others roles include: a Stockholm Syndrome hostage in Lionsgate's "Clown Fear"; All-American teenager in "Morbid Stories". In highschool, she was "Taft-Hartley-ed" into the union shooting an AT&T commercial. In 2021, she was cast as sorority girl, Ashleye, on Mindy Kaling's "The Sex Lives of College Girls" - an HBOMax Original TV show. As a teen, she studied musical theater, improv comedy, action fighting and speaks 3 languages (English, Mandarin & Japanese). Her favorite onstage role was Grace in a Los Angeles production of Annie the Musical. Currently, she is studying the Meisner Technique at Playhouse West in LA.

In addition to acting, she made her filmmaking debut as a writer and director in Morbid Stories.
